Well, I'm 22, single, and have graduated from Calvin College in theGrand Rapids area. I'm pretty open-minded about life in general. I've gotten to a point where I try to let people do as they will, and figure out how to respond from there.

I am a Christian, but I won't try to shove it down anyone's throat, just as I expect no one to shove their beliefs down mine. That being said, I'm more than happy to discuss my beliefs if someone is curious about them. Just don't expect me to go up to someone and start telling them if they will end up in Heaven or Hell! I try to pray daily, mostly for happiness for the people I care about, including people I don't get to talk to too often. Even those who have hurt me in the past, I try to say a prayer for them, mostly so I can move on, and stop holding grudges.

I'll do just about anything for the people I care about. even when I know they don't really appreciate it or ever plan on returning favors.

I'm not someone who will dominate someone else's personality. I'm more of a complimentary person, someone who wants to complete my significant other, and vice-versa.

I'm also not someone who you'll figure out in 1 or 2 meetings. Apparently, some have said I'm surprisingly deep, while seemingly plain.

Honestly, I like making people think and re-evaluate. Nothing is more frustrating than a closed mind, especially from people I thought I could relate to.

What can I say about myself that wouldn't sound just like everyone else? I'm probably a bit more open minded than most people. I can be serious, but only when necessary. *note: I am not a "green" nut. Going green is a good idea economically, and environmentally. It often times saves money to be green. I just need to be willing to sacrifice a bit more for the cause, which is foten pretty hard to do.

As with most I don't feel all that confident describing myself so I guess the easiest thing would be to lay out the basics. I can tell you these things for a certainty.

- I will never cheat on you. I cannot think of a worse thing to do to your loved one, it is the ultimate insult and is unforgivable in my eyes
- I will never lie to you. If you get to know me you'll understand this better, I am a brutally honest person and I see no need for subtlety or deceit. I will tell you the truth regardless of if it is appropriate. (This more often than not makes me come off more like an asshole)
- I do not smoke or drink, however I see nothing against such things. I just don't wish to participate in them myself.
- I am not religious.. at all. This is not up for debate. Again however, I do not have a problem with it in a partner. I will never slight you because of what you believe in, all I ask is that you don't try and force it upon me.
- I have a stable job, and I live in an apartment with one other roommate
- I have 2 Tattoos, I plan on getting several more, at least another 5
- I'm told that I have an odd sense of humor
- I highly enjoy cooking, experimenting with new recipes and if the day calls for it, trying new things.
- I am a drummer, and I'm currently trying to learn Bass
- I'm a bit of a computer geek
- I believe that anything in life can be funny given the right perspective
- I enjoy participating in pen & paper RPG's, great excuse to socialize with old friends
- I find dominance in a woman to be very attractive. Not someone who is controlling, but someone who is willing to argue with me over what we'll be watching/eating/where we're going.. etc..

Well, I semi recently moved back to GR after living in Ann Arbor for the past couple years. It's good to be home, but I work a lot and pretty much all of my friends are married/in relationships, so I don't get out much to meet new people - and here I am.

Well, I am that guy that you never know what I will do next. If you want to get to know me, you have to gain my trust. My friends are my life and I'd do anything for them. I was diagnossed with Depression nearly 2 years ago and I take medication for that. I'm an addict of Dr. Pepper, if I share some with you that means I like you. I'm all around crazy. Scouting is another big part of my life seeing as I am an Eagle Scout. I also work at a scout camp called Owasippe. I found the greatest family while working there and I never stop talking about it. I am currently taking a break from Baker College in Muskegon, MI to be a medical assistant because of money issuses. I have loved before or thought I have. The pain is there so it must have meant something. I listen to music a lot, I really just need some background noise while doing anything. I only recently came out to my parents, not by choice either. This is all just random thoughts and ideas thrown on here at random times :) I'm a giant flirt! I'm not really looking for a relationship but am totally open to it happening. I have the weird thing of not ever wanting to talk on the phone for any reason but quick important stuff, so never expect nice long phone conversations. :P

If you asked my friends how to describe me some of the most common answers you would get would be "he's a good guy", "he's pretty eccentric", or maybe just "he's interesting". Or maybe they'd just laugh and walk away. :P I like to keep an open mind on most things. My favorite quote was by Elbert Hubbard when he said,"The recipe for perpetual ignorance is: be satisfied with your opinions and content with your knowledge." I'm not the most knowledgeable or intelligent person in the world, but I stay informed and am by no means stupid.
I have a bizarre love of bad jokes(groaners), absurdity, and cheesiness. I try to give everyone the benefit of the doubt, I despise rumors and gossip, and I try to be fair with people I see everyday...most of the time anyway (even I have my bad days.) I can be selfish, competitive, and cocky, but I like to think that I am an overall decent person. I am not religious(I'm agnostic actually), but I consider myself to be a humanist. As such, my moral ideologies tend to be very compatible with a lot of religious folks.
I love discussion. I have a fascination with understanding what makes people tick..What they believe, why they believe it. I'm very open with my opinions about religion and politics. But even when people don't agree with me, I do my best not to lose myself to my moral outrage. :P (You can't convince people if you don't consider their opinions.)
I should also warn, I tend to ask a lot of questions. Some people get annoyed at this practice, others seem to really appreciate it. Ooh, also, I can be a smart ass. Just giving fair warning. ^^

I'm a typical middle aged man. I've been divorced for about 3 years. I have 2 boys, ages 10 and 7. They spend every other week with me. They are involved with sports, so I am too! In my spare time I enjoy lifting weights. Powerlifting is a passion of mine. I enjoy setting goals and then working to achieve them. Unfortunately, I don't get to lift weights as often as I would like. My children keep me very busy. I have also recently purchased my own home. I'm very quiet until you get to know me. I like to think before I speak - it helps me avoid sticking my foot in my mouth!
